PTAB COMMITTEE TACKLES CONGRESSIONAL BILLS RELATING TO PTAB REFORM

As the Holiday Season begins, the PTAB Committee, on December 7 at 4:00PM, will tackle a summary of the currently pending (and soon to be expected) bills in congress addressing potential reform of the PTAB, including:

 

• S.2891 (Restoring the American Invents Act), 

• H.R. 5874 (Restoring America’s Leadership in Innovation Act), 

• H.R. 5902 (Conducting Legally Efficient Administration and Resolution of Patents) and 

• the old S.2082 (Stronger Patents Act of 2019) (which is expected to be represented in some form soon)

 

as well as the upcoming hearings on Kathi Vidal as next Director.

 

Co-Chair Charley Macedo of the PTAB Committee and Co-Chair Anthony F. Lo Cicero from the LAC Committee will be leading the discussion.

 

We will also be soliciting comments from attendees regarding potential comments to submit on S.2891.
