ATTN: Judges Dinner Liaisons
It is my privilege to invite you and your colleagues to attend the NYIPLA’s 91st Annual Dinner in Honor of the Federal Judiciary, which will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Waldorf=Astoria, New York City.
We are pleased to announce that the 11th Annual Outstanding Public Service Award will be presented to the Honorable Barbara S. Jones, District Judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. In addition, our Dinner Speaker will be Michael Strahan, former NFL player for the New York Giants. He is the co-host for the Fox NFL Sunday and Live! With Kelly and Michael.
Individual ticket pricing will remain unchanged: $300.00 for NYIPLA members and $495.00 for non-members. The May 2012 – April 2013 membership dues must be received by Wednesday, December 12, 2012 to qualify for the NYIPLA rate.
New this year, due to increased demand, each Honored Guest Table in the Grand Ballroom will require a fee of $350.00. The table fee will be refunded if a request for a table in the Grand Ballroom cannot be honored due to capacity constraints. The Table Reservation Form and check are due Wednesday, January 23, 2013. The attendees’ names submission deadline is Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Login with your e-mail: www.nyipla.org/judgesdinner. This will allow you to verify NYIPLA membership, enter the type and number of tables, add and edit names, and view your invoice.
In response to guests’ feedbacks, NYIPLA will designate certain satellite rooms as “quiet room” seating, similar to the quiet railcar concept. NYIPLA will attempt to honor all quiet room seating requests, to provide guests with a better opportunity to listen and enjoy the program and dinner speaker.
Please refer to the materials labeled “Important Information” which contain the pertinent dates. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Lisa Lu at dinner@nyipla.org.
We look forward to seeing you at the Association’s historic Annual Dinner!
Sincerely,
Anthony F. Lo Cicero
