The Good, the Bad and the Truly Ugly: Visual Communication with the Jury

Suann Ingle and Nancy Geenen will explore the basics of good design for effective graphics for intellectual property cases using graphics and animation from patent, design patent and trademark cases used in jury trials. Among the topics, they will discuss the difference between exhibits and demonstratives, opening statements, techniques for expert witness examination, and closing arguments. Suann and Nancy will reveal tips and tricks for effective courtroom communication at trial and strategies for preparation in the 100 days before trial.

Suann Ingle specializes in integrating jury research analysis with strategic graphics and presentation technology at trial. Since entering the field in 1994, Suann has consulted on a wide range of litigation matters, including intellectual property, environmental law, fraud, conspiracy, contracts, insurance, employment, and labor disputes.
