2014 September 18 NJIPLA & NYIPLA Joint Program "Recent US Supreme Court Decisions on Patent Law and the Influence on Current Patent Practice and Potential US Patent Law Reform"

Join the NJIPLA and NYIPLA for a breakfast CLE program on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at McCarter & English LLP, 100 Mulberry Street, Four Gateway Center, Newark, New Jersey. 

This jointly sponsored CLE program will include a lively discussion of recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions regarding patent law, their influence on current patent practice and the potential influence to effect changes in the U.S. Patent Laws.  

The discussion will be moderated by Honorable Garrett Brown, Jr., former Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Chief Judge Brown will be joined by three distinguished panelists:

From Penn Station, (approximately a 7 min. walk) look for McDonalds. Go up escalator, following signs "Bridge to Gateway" thru the doors.  After the second set of doors there will be Metro Deli on the right followed by Hilton Hotel entrance also on the right.  The walkway to Gateway IV continues on the left passing Starbucks, Subway and then a right turn and up the stairs, taking you over McCarter Highway and past Gateway II and a little further to Gateway IV.  Security Desk will be on your left before the top of the escalator (Do not go down escalator). Garden State Parkway
Take Garden State Parkway to Exit 145. Follow signs onto Rt. 280 East. When 280 forks - stay right, following signs for Harrison. Exit at 15 (Rt. 21 South-Downtown). Proceed to the bottom of the ramp. Turn right onto Rt. 21 (McCarter Highway) and proceed 1 mile to the intersection McCarter Highway/Market Street.  Turn right at the intersection onto (Market Street)  Proceed approximately 150 feet turning right at the mouth of the rear driveway entrance. (The entrance to the driveway is located just before the next traffic light).  A security officer will meet you at your vehicle to check your identification credentials.  Please park your vehicle in the outdoor visitors' parking lot.  Please check in at the Security Desk at Gateway IV and then proceed to 15th floor McCarter & English Reception Desk.

Route 78/24 East
Follow signs for Newark Airport, Exit 57. Follow signs for Route 21 – Newark, over bridge onto Route 21 North which becomes McCarter Highway. Proceed approximately 1½ miles to the intersection of McCarter Highway/ Edison Place.  Make a left onto (Edison Place) and proceed to the next traffic light which is (Mulberry Street)  Make a right onto Mulberry Street and proceed to the next intersection which is( Mulberry Street/Market Street)  Make a right turn onto (Market) and bear diagonally across towards your left to get into the left hand turn lane.  Make a left turn into the mouth of the rear driveway entrance.  A security officer will meet you at your vehicle to check your identification credentials.  Please park your vehicle in the outdoor visitors' parking lot. Route 3 or Route 21
From Rt. 3, take Route 21 South about 4 miles and then Route 21 becomes a 4-lane non-divided highway. From this point, proceed 1½ miles to the intersection of McCarter Highway/Market Street. Turn right at the light onto (Market Street)  Proceed approximately 150 feet turning right into the mouth of the rear driveway entrance. (The entrance to the driveway is located just before the next traffic light). From Pennsylvania or Western NJ via Rt. 80 East
Route 80 East onto Route 280 East. Proceed approximately 14 miles until Route 280 forks. Follow signs taking I-280 East. When Route 280 forks -- stay right, following signs for Harrison. Take the Holland Tunnel to New Jersey Turnpike North to Exit 15W - onto Route 280 West. Continue approximately 2½ miles to exit 15 - Route 21 South-Newark. NJ Turnpike South to Exit 15W-Route 280 West. Continue on 280 West approximately 2½ miles to exit 15 - Route 21 South-Newark.
